HPU Libraries is a part of the learning environment at High Point University. High Point University Libraries, actively supporting exceptional students.
Smith Library, opened in 1984 and contains a wide range of library services. The Learning Commons, on the third floor of the Wanek Center, functions as a quiet study space. The School of Education Resource Center (located in the School of Education building) supports the needs of the education programs.

The print shop is getting busy, so plan for at least 24hrs when submitting your order.
That’s right. The library has Just Dance and Wii available to check out (and yes, an entire catalog of vintage consoles and games too)
If you haven’t heard, the printshop is going through some renovations. The Grinch took everything, so it’s pretty bare bones until the new year.

Students got to snack on Lava Chicken, sip Nuka Cola, browse gaming themed cookbooks, and jump into some classic consoles while DJ Dashaun kept the energy up. Big thanks to the HPU gaming clubs for hanging out with us at our Gaming and Gobbling event! 🎮🍗

Ever wonder how your favorite comics make the jump to the big screen? From Panels to Screen pairs iconic graphic novels and comic books with their film adaptations to show how the same story takes on new life in a different medium.
Catch it at on the 1st floor of Smith through November 10. Don’t worry if you miss the display, these titles are part of our collection year-round.

This week, students from two English classes joined HPU Libraries for a hands-on Bookbinding Workshop. They learned how to create their own hardcover cloth journals or sketchbooks from start to finish.
Gerald Ward, Assistant Director and Media Services Librarian, drew on his expertise in bookbinding, zine making, and conservation to provide students with a rich experiential learning opportunity.
