Producing Accessible Ebooks 06/24/2017

Ebooks face the same kinds of compatibility problems that bedevil other types of software such as apps or full-on programs: making it look and feel similar, and making it function similarly on a variety of different hardware platforms. The traditional print publishers usually slap some text into an ebook template and voila! - they have an ebook. Some ebook publishers run a text through a "machine" a "black box" or a "converter" and get a "product" out the other end. And it looks like it.

Ebooks will really only take off when the final published eBook is as much a work of art as its printed cousin.
