Our work with the Greater High Point Food Alliance to develop the Greater Guilford Food Finder mobile application has been incredibly fulfilling. Helping bring GHPFA's vision to life has not only been fun but also a cornerstone of connecting our team with our community while addressing food insecurity. Together, we've helped move High Point from being ranked number one in food hardship to fourteenth—a powerful testament to the impact of community and collaboration.

Meet Barbara Gardener Proctor! Back in 1969, she was assigned a project that was offensive to the current social justice marches in order to sell hair care products. She refused and was ultimately fired. Within a year, she started the Proctor & Gardener agency. She vowed never to create ads for a product that could harm any person of color and women. Her story inspires all and reminds us to stay true to our morals and principles.

Meet Jacqueline Parkes! Jacqueline Parkes was the first female chief marketing officer in professional sports when she took on the role at Major League Baseball . In June 2018, she was named CMO and EVP of Digital Studios for Viacom’s VH1 , MTV and Logo networks.

Meet Pamela El. Pamela El is known for being the CMO at State Farm. Under her control, State Farm's "Like a good neighbor" changed to "Get to a better state," and its logo changed for the first time in more than 50 years. She has recently been known for speaking up about the lack of diversity within State Farm. She is an influential woman who has made her mark, and continues to, in the marketing world.

Martin Luther King Jr. would have been 94 years old yesterday. He was assassinated in 1968 at the age of 39.

We took a moment to look back at the last 55 years to ask ourselves, "would MLK be proud of the state of civil rights today & what legacy can we leave to further equity & justice?"

Our answer: we will choose to speak up for injustices we see while challenging those in our influential circle to think bigger to think differently. By continuing to do the same things, we will see only the same results & our dream is a systemic change for the future.
