Emily Boenig, an HPU '25 Exercise Science major with a minor in Psychology, will pursue her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy in Auburn, Maine.

When asked about her most impactful mentor at HPU, Boenig shares: “Dan Tarara, Associate Professor, Condon School of Health Sciences. I had this professor for multiple courses for my major. He will push you to think beyond the material and apply the information to everyday life. I know the information I learned in his courses will be helpful in my future career as an Occupational Therapist! Dr. Tarara is always there to talk to and answer any questions; he also cares about you as a person, not just as a student, which I really appreciated!”
