Last Sunday, nearly 150 neighbors gathered for an unforgettable Longest Table. What started as a shared meal became an afternoon of connection, conversation, and genuine community spirit.
Huge thanks to our partners, The Bridge, Resilience High Point, the City of High Point, Atrium Health, Stock + Grain, and High Point Discovered for making this day possible.
Gratitude to Basil Café & Catering for the beautiful meal and to Craig Vaughn for filling the space with warmth and energy through live music.
To everyone who joined us: your presence turned one long table into a celebration of unity, hope, and shared purpose. High Point grows stronger every time we come together!

On Sunday, our community gathered once again for The Longest Table, and the day was nothing short of remarkable. Neighbors, families, friends, and even strangers sat shoulder to shoulder, sharing a meal and conversations that reminded us how powerful it is to slow down and truly connect.
This event is more than a shared meal, it’s a space for honesty, reflection, and the kind of listening that strengthens a community from the inside out. Every laugh, every story, every moment of understanding showed just how much High Point grows when we come together.
We’re deeply grateful to our partners whose support made this year’s Longest Table possible — Growing High Point, The Bridge, Resilience High Point, the City of High Point, Atrium Health, Stock + Grain, High Point Discovered, and all who helped bring this vision to life.
A heartfelt thank‑you to Basil Café & Catering, who prepared the beautiful meal that nourished everyone at the table. And a special shoutout to Craig Vaughn, whose live guitar performance added warmth, joy, and energy to the entire experience. His music helped set the tone for a day rooted in togetherness.
To everyone who joined us: thank you. Your presence transformed a simple meal into a living symbol of unity, hope, and shared purpose. Together, we’re building a more connected High Point — one conversation at a time!

Earlier this week, our some of our team attended the NC Food Hub Collaborative Peer Learning Event in Durham and Warrenton, NC. Over the course of two days, they visited FirstHand Foods and Working Landscapes (pictured) and collaborated with Food Hub professionals across NC to discuss common operational bottlenecks and strategies for future partnerships between food hubs. Together, they engaged in work to prototype real-world tools the Food Hub network needs to efficiently move food and resources between NC food hubs!

Growing High Point was honored to welcome Suzanne Philemon and Candice Kane from The Cannon Foundation for a site visit this week. Coordinated by GHP founder Dr. Patrick Harman, the visit offered a meaningful opportunity to walk through our urban agriculture sites, share program updates, and highlight the growing impact of our work across High Point.
Suzanne and Candice spent time learning about our farmers, youth initiatives, and community partnerships, as well as the long‑term vision guiding our efforts to expand food access and economic opportunity. Their thoughtful questions and genuine engagement made the visit both energizing and deeply encouraging as we continue building momentum for the year ahead!
