Did you know many US Presidents have experienced hearing loss AND wore hearing aids?
In honor of the Presidents Day, here are a list of several Presidents impacted by hearing loss:
🔺Thomas Jefferson: In 1819 Jefferson wrote a letter to a doctor outlining the difficulties he had listening to speech in noise!
🔺Ronald Reagan: The first president to wear hearing aids in the White House! His hearing loss began in the 1930s due to a gun being fired too close to his right ear. His willingness to publicly wear his hearing aids reduced the negative association society had placed on hearing loss.
🔺Bill Clinton: Due to years of music exposure and age-related hearing loss, he began wearing hearing aids during his second term in office.
🔺George H.W. Bush, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter:
All of these presidents were fitted for hearing aids post-presidency. This allowed them to confidently continue their meaningful work!
Hearing aids can give you confidence to live your life to the fullest!
