It's been an absolute whirlwind, and I'm back where it all started....
not just 6 months ago, but the entirety of my career has been tethered to this place of inspiration, hard work, passion, art, & design.
Coming here bolstered by the success of my business and both the amazing long-time and new relationships in this space is like a rebirth.
Shout out to the amazing for giving me the perfect opportunity to post about my current state with this seriously fab art.

A VERY delayed post from a painting session last month. To say that things have been busy would be an understatement. I'm finding a rhythm and balance with my incredible clients. Most days are filled with strategy and building out systems, merchandising, & marketing, but having opportunities to paint for them, like this session, is such a luxury.

And somehow, it's June.
When I was laid off in Feb and scoped the months ahead, June was a big month. I told myself that by June, I would have a good idea of how I would be proceeding in the long term, I would understand the landscape, and I would have a roadmap.
Flashing back to this photoshoot end of February. This shoot, thanks to the talented .moncrieff, was one of many examples of people putting their positive energy into my space because they wanted me to succeed. I remember so clearly how everything felt during this shoot.
Every day was like jumping out of a plane & June was the ground.
Would my landing be safe? Would I hit the ground at 120mph? Despite the initial shove from the back, at some point I started to control the fall, and the parachute of positive energy that I know I owe to so many people made my landing sweet, invigorating, & safe.
My business is thriving, and I'm doing all of the things that I've always enjoyed. My clients are fantastic and just as excited to be working with me as I am them.
I can't credit the level and speed of that success to a prescriptive formula. I can't say: this is how to do what I did. I can share a few insights:
There were MANY "almost didn't happen" moments. I almost didn't go to Highpoint, visit showrooms of companies who had no idea who I was, attend a local workshop, build my consulting website, talk to this specific person or that one.
Not everything that I did paid dividends, but the one that did over and over was engagement. I SHOWED UP and engaged with people, listened, looked for opportunities to lean in, and constantly, constantly lead with gratitude.
Every day, I show up for my customers with integrity, transparency, and an eagerness to help. Combining that with my toolbox of skills is my personal formula for success. My next challenge is to figure out how to scale. I am pinching myself daily, and it feels great to be here on firm ground in June.

Getting back from a week at the beach with my peeps and realized it's been a minute since I've posted. Things have been crazy busy in my world of late. It's hard to explain just *how* busy and what I've been working on, but I'll try to fill you in on coming posts.
Many of my followers have known me for decades, and there are also lots of new faces in my feed. I am constantly grateful for all of you!
Old friends, family, longtime industry customers & peers, new customers, followers, & clients. All of you breathe air into my sails as I find my way through my current journey.
I hope to engage with you all more and more in the coming days & years ahead. I lived in a bubble for a very long time, but am finding my legs daily out here in this beautiful world.
