Sam Carr for High Point City Council

What a journey!! First and foremost, congratulations to my dear friend and the person who helped me, guided me, and mentored me, Britt Moore. Also, a big congratulations to Amanda Cook. I am excited to see all you accomplish for our city. Congrats to all of the candidates as well.

This journey has lead me to every corner of our city. What started out as a desire to get involved, grew into a deep passion from within to serve. Throughout the campaign we visited every corner of this city, spoke with countless people, and learned. One thing I can definitively say, is High Point is the best city not because of who is or isn’t on council, but because of its people.

While the outcome was not what we wanted, I can say I am a better person because of this. I have met some of the most incredible people from so many different backgrounds who work tirelessly for this city and organizations that are making strides for a better tomorrow.

To my wonderful wife, thank you for allowing your husband of 9 months to do this. I am blessed to have you. Thank you for supporting me and going on this journey with me.

To all of my supports, both in vote and word, THANK YOU! Thank you for taking a chance on the new and young guy. Words can never express my gratitude.

To my campaign manager, Brandon Lenoir, thank you for the guidance and being a great campaign manager. You saw something in your student 5 years ago and for that, I am grateful.

To High Point, I made a promise to serve and I will keep that promise. I promise to stay involved and to show up.

I trust in God’s plan and as I said in my first post when I announced my candidacy, “High Point is and always will be my home.” I am excited for the future and High Point’s future!

We are one week away from Election Day! There is still time to vote early if you choose to do so. Polls are open through this Saturday, Nov 4th, at Deep River Rec Center and Washington Terrace Park. Grab your friends and take them to the polls with you.

Take some time to reach out to 5 of your friends, coworkers, neighbors, and family over the next few weeks to let them know about voting in the General Election. This is an important election!!

I want to thank everyone who placed their confidence in me by giving me your vote in the primary. We have less than a month until the general election, and I ask everyone who supported me to please tell your friends. There is a lot of work to be done between now and Election Day, and with your help we’ll be successful!

My faith, the support of friends and family, and especially my loving wife, Brooke, have made this possible.

I want to congratulate the candidates who also ran in the primary. I enjoyed getting to know each of you. I hope you continue to work to make High Point an even better place to live, work and play.

Over the past few months, I have been to every corner of our community to hear your concerns, your challenges, and your visions for what our city needs to thrive. Through it all, one thing has been crystal clear: one shared love for High Point.

We’re a strong community because we all want to build a better High Point for everyone. Being a young candidate, this is my passion. To build a High Point for my future children and a better home for all of High Point. One where both old and young alike want to call home, like my wife and I did.

I hope to continue to make it the single best place to live, work, and play. As your voice on City Council, I’ll be a chance for a new perspective and outlook. I’ll support small businesses, work to make our communities safer, stand up for those who protect us every day, and always be there for our neighbors who need a helping hand.
