Production Notes:

1. Janice S**U (Clean & Dirty) (ULTI-reMIX) - Drake 126
Drake surprised the industry and fans alike by simultaneously releasing three new full-length albums: "Iceman", "Habibti", and "Maid of Honour". The first track on the new Funkymix comes from the "Iceman" set. In its original form, “Janice S**U” is 63 bpm. So, Stacy built on the original production, and added some subtle elements for his flip into a 126 bpm peak-hour heater.

3, Cheetah Print (Clean & Dirty) (ULTI-reMIX) - Drake 130
We stay on planet Drake, but shift gears to the "Habibti" full-length. “Cheetah Print” is a club-focused track that cleverly samples the ’23 viral house/dance track “(It Goes Like) Nanana” by South Korean DJ-producer Peggy Gou. In its original form, the track is laid out as a bass mix, but didn’t hit quite hard enough for DJ Volume. He did a ground-up reno with new 808 bassline, new trappy keys, new ad libs, etc.

5. SPEED DEMON (ULTI-reMIX) - Justin Bieber 100
Biebs is determined to keep doing his thing and achieving “greatness”, regardless of the haters. On the 2nd single release from "Swag II", it’s clear that he’ll “keep checking these chickens”. Beat Thrillers delivered a mixshow-worthy version that fits nicely in the pocket with other glitch-hop and moombah tracks.

6. Shoulda Never (Clean) (ULTI-reMIX) - Kehlani f. Usher 135
Kehlani’s stock has been rising ever since her back-to-back hits “Folded” and “Out the Window” zoomed up multiple charts earlier this year. DeToto took this new track in a Bmore club direction. OG sample chops and Baltimore-inspired drum programming inject fresh energy underneath the vocals.

8. Dai Dai - Shakira & Burna Boy 116
The official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, “Dai Dai” (‘Come on, come on’) finds Shakira and Burna Boy sporting a multilingual chorus. It’s sure to be heard everywhere this summer ahead of the FIFA World Cup final halftime show in July.

9. Echo - Daddy Yankee, Shenseea and FIFA Sound 132
Speaking of FIFA fever, the new collab from reggaeton icon Daddy Yankee and Jamaican powerhouse Shenseea is featured on the FIFA World Cup 2026 Album. For a more cohesive flow, Stacy wisely added percussion and made new drum and bass parts from existing stems.

10. MR HIM (Clean & Dirty) - T.I. 95
T.I. follows up massive “LET ‘EM KNOW” (FM 325), with another standout Pharrell production. Doc Roc kept the original feels and did an overall beef up.

12. [PRESS] (Clean & Dirty) - Armani White 97
White flipped a classic bounce beat and sampled Mannie Fresh’s “Real Big” on his latest.

14. Smoking pt. 2 (Clean & Dirty) - French Montana, Max B & Rick Ross 95.2
Released as a single ahead of the "Wave Gods 2" mixtape, this one will likely follow the success of previous hit “Ever Since You Left Me”. These guys are wisely striking while the iron is hottttt!

16. Coconut Water (Clean & Dirty) - Trim 90
Stacy stumbled upon this new track and felt it sounded like a summer bop! It recalled for him the old school DJ Mustard vibe from 10-12 years ago. Check it!

The latest melancholy track from Rodrigo previews her upcoming “you seem so sad for a girl in love” full-length set. Brian infused energy for a more anthemic feel, and highlighted the lush string arrangement nicely.

Mr. Know It All (ULTI-reMIX) - Teddy Swims 126
Rich stepped out of his usual bass/breaks comfort zone to create a more Nu Disco/Tech Hse. vibe. Immediate add to open format sets. Looks to repeat success of earlier “Lose Control” (UM 321) and “The Door” (UM 327).

Bring Your Love (ULTI-reMIX) - Madonna & Sabrina Carpenter 128
After a promo tease “I Feel So Free”, Madonna drops the first official release from “Confessions II”. Beat Thrillerz took his production in a decidedly French Hse. direction. The result is a commercial, “Music Sounds Better With You-esque” vibe.

Free To Love - Duran Duran f. Nile Rodgers 118
The Double Ds bring honorary member, Nile Rodgers, on board for production duties and a co-write. Doc Roc kept the energy flowing strong. He did an overall beef-up for a nice add to any mainstream mixshow. Glad to have Doc Roc on the Ultimix side of the decks for once!

neck - Mau P 129
First introduced during Mau P’s Coachella performance, “neck” has become an evolving story among festival DJs. The track has recently hit a sweet spot among worldwide, dance tastemakers.

Human Nature (ULTI-reMIX) - Michael Jackson 120
As “Michael” continues to enjoy worldwide box office success, DeToto felt it was time for a full production take on this beloved track from “Thriller”. He added a new breakbeat production surrounded by modern basslines, plucks, guitars and synths. A nice variation for those wanting to switch gears from MJ’s other overplayed signatures.

Baby (ULTI-reMIX) - Justin Bieber 130
Biebs is also enjoying a resurgence of sorts, thanks to his recent much-ballyhooed Coachella set earlier this year. Many tracks from his earlier catalog, are now among top streams. Huda decided to deliver a “Baby” mix closer to the original production.

Insomnia (ULTI-reMIX) - Faithless 128
Bebe’s recent hit, “New Religion”, brought OG “Insomnia” back to the forefront of festivals. Volume stayed for the afterparty and breathed new life into the Faithless gem. He opted for a house/breaks hybrid production. He stayed with the old school synths but evoked a new emotion with updated drums and basslines.

Passion (ULTI-reMIX) - K5 128
The original KJ production appeared 30 years ago as an indie 12”. After much regional noise and play, it was wisely picked up for the U.S. market by Robbins Entertainment. To commemorate the anniversary of the release, a huge, 15 track remix package is expected next month. But, in the meantime, we’re treated to the first exclusive mix of the bunch. A DJ Volume breaks masterpiece!
