🍦 The "Popsicle & Pages" Club: Create a fun daily habit. Grab a cool summer treat, head out to the porch or a backyard hammock, and dedicate 20 minutes to quiet reading time together.

🎧 Audiobooks on the Road: Heading out on a family road trip? Put on an audiobook that the whole family can enjoy together! It builds incredible listening comprehension and advanced vocabulary skills while keeping the backseat quiet.

🎯 Level Up Their Reading: Summer is the perfect time to explore new authors and genres that stretch your student's skills! Encourage them to pick books that keep them on grade level or offer a fun challenge. As students move up in school, math concepts like division and fractions start popping up. While that might sound a little intimidating, here’s a secret: it all loops back to multiplication!

When students know their multiplication tables by heart, advanced math becomes an absolute breeze.

If you have an eager learner or if you’re just wondering how to give your student an extra boost, this summer is a great time to start "playing" with multiplication facts.
Is this required?

Absolutely not! ❌ It’s summer—we want our Cougars to rest and play. But if your student is looking for a challenge or wants to feel extra prepared for the fall, practicing 2s, 5s, and 10s is a fantastic place to start.

Keep it fun! 🥳
Use flashcards during popsicle breaks.
Listen to catchy multiplication songs in the car.
Practice "skip counting" (2, 4, 6, 8...) while jumping on the trampoline!

Mastering these facts now builds so much confidence for when they walk through our doors in August. 🐾🙌

Our All Things Girly Camp had the most incredible week learning that they are uniquely, beautifully, and specially created by God! Each day brought a new theme, a meaningful Bible verse, and a strong faith focus.

Look at all the ways our girls put their faith into action:
💅 Spa Day: Complete with manicures and DIY cosmetics as we learned about true beauty and character.
🔦 Lanterns & Torches: We built paper lanterns and torches (that doubled as a tasty snack!) as a reminder to let our light shine for God's glory.
🧁 Cupcake Decorating: A sweet reminder to use gracious, kind words with one another—because kindness is sweet!
🫖 Grand Finale Tea Party: A beautiful celebration of new friendships and a reminder to love, encourage, and build each other up.

Did you know that just 5 minutes of "math play" a day can make a huge difference when the school year kicks off?

We want our Cougars to head back to campus feeling confident, fast, and ready!

Practicing math fact fluency now is the best way to set them up for success. Here are 3 easy, "non-homework" ways to keep math facts fresh this summer:

🚗 Drive-Time Drills: Use your time in the car for a quick round of "I Challenge You!" Call out a math fact (addition for the younger crew, multiplication for the older guys!) and see how fast they can answer. Keep it light and fun!

🎨 Sidewalk Chalk Math: Head outside and write numbers in a "hopscotch" grid. Call out a math fact (like 5+4 or 3x3) and have your student jump to the correct sum or product!

🃏 Card Game Countdown: Use a standard deck of cards for a game of "War," but with a twist. Each person flips a card, and the first person to yell out the total combined answer wins the round!

Focusing on speed and accuracy now makes those upcoming math milestones so much smoother. Plus, it's a great way to sneak in some learning between pool trips and popsicles! 🍦

What to Expect: As the oldest students in the Lower School, 5th graders step into major leadership roles on campus while preparing their minds for the transition to middle school.

Skills to Practice:
