I have been an amateur photographer for two years, focusing on the natural wonders of earth and other rustic and historical sites I stumble upon, capturing what is real and the emotion within the subject.

Yesterday out driving around and doing a bit of Doordashing, I came across this antique truck just sitting in the middle of a small field. Being a sucker for photos of old antique buildings, farm equipment, and cars, it called me. Fortunately, I just happened to take my camera with me, so I turned around. It also happens that a storm had just started and so it was thundering and raining while I tried to get the shot, but I got it.

A few recent random photos taken just before sunset, as the sun began to set, and after dark. A small storm was also rolling in.

I've never tried taking photos of fireworks since I got into photography so tonight I thought I would give it a shot. Not having time to get a hold of my mentor, Vinny Colucci, I quickly looked up Canon's recommended settings. Needless to say it was a near disaster fumbling through my settings, making the necessary necessary changes recommended to get it just right only to realize that I forgot one setting. After making that change, I managed to get one shot that even remotely looks decent (at least compared to the others) before my camera died because I didn't realize my battery was dying when I took it out. If I had more battery, I might have been able to get it right, but anyway lesson learned and here it is. Be kind, I'm only a beginner. Shot at F16 4" ISO200 Manual Exposure using a Canon EOS Rebel T7 EF75-300 mm f/4-5.6

Sat outside my back door yesterday morning to try and capture the birds that are usually out there in the mornings with no luck since they seemed to disappear today. Instead, despite the cloudy and rainy weather, I was able to get a few of our squirrel friends that take up residence in the tree and old shed behind us.
