🏆Ever wonder what it’s like to be part of the Hurricanes' Stanley Cup Championship season? Audrey Caron '25 got to experience it firsthand.

As a member of the Canes Crew, she served as a brand ambassador for the Carolina Hurricanes, helping create an unforgettable game-day experience by connecting with fans, leading cheers, and bringing energy throughout every home game. They also represent the organization at community events and watch parties, helping grow the game and engage with Caniacs beyond the arena.

"Being part of the team during the Hurricanes’ Stanley Cup Championship run made the experience even more special. It was incredible to witness the excitement firsthand and celebrate such a historic moment with the fans and the organization."

Alumni Spotlight: Kristen Doshier '18 💼

Kristen changed careers in 2020, pivoting to social work from a background in Marketing and Communications. She is now a fully licensed clinical social worker, supporting diverse communities across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. She’s grateful to make a meaningful impact while also drawing on the marketing background she developed at HPU.

"My time at HPU equipped me with the skills and knowledge to pursue a diverse career path. I am grateful for my undergraduate experience at such an innovative and forward-thinking university. "

Alex and Jackie met during their senior year at High Point University, and their story has come full circle. They got engaged on July 3, 2025, in Stone Harbor and are planning to say “I do” in Charleston.

Alumni Spotlight: Lauren Perrone ’19 🎓

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re highlighting Lauren Perrone and her impactful work in the field of mental health.

Since graduating from HPU, Lauren has built an impressive career - living internationally, earning two master’s degrees (MA in Human Rights Practice and an MSW), and now working as a medical social worker at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Albany, New York.

She’s currently pursuing her clinical license, working part-time in private practice, and specializing in grief counseling - continuing her passion for making a meaningful impact in people’s lives.

Congrats, Lauren! The future is bright 🌟
