Big announcement from Blue Ridge Tile and Stone! I have recently been asked to join the team of trainers at the National Tile Contractors Association. I am truly honored to have this opportunity and take my next step in the tile industry. I will be pausing my tile installation business for the time being to concentrate on my new role of training and educating others on proper methods and standards of tile installation. Over the years I’ve had amazing clients and I want to say thank you for trusting me with your tile projects!

I spent most of my week in Birmingham Alabama working with the NTCA doing a workshop on “large format substrate preparation”. It was a lot of fun and a great experience.

Finished off the week installing this arabesque tile backsplash.

4x12 subway tile on the walls. 12x24 porcelain on the floor. Once we got the floor flat and the walls plumb this was a breeze.

Finished up the week working on this backsplash in Davidson for . This kitchen renovation turned out great. Another awesome client to work with!

I had such an awesome week in Orlando at “coverings”. (If you don’t know, this is one of the world largest tile conventions). My week was full of meetings, live demos, networking events, educational workshops and a ton of great conversations with other tile professionals! We as the tile community were able to learn, share and build each other up. I always get home after a week like this feelings tired but looking forward to next year. Quick shower renovation this week due to a leaking shower. It blows me away what people do while building a shower and think it’s “waterproof”. Homeowners - please(!!!!), make sure you’re hiring a qualified professionals to work in your home.
