Artist Pam Beam finished this lovely flower portrait the other day and I want you to enjoy it with me. I love how she’s captured the vibrant undulations of the petals with all those amazing shifts of color within each. Her attention to the multiple shapes found in the center was expertly handled—detailed enough to speak to what it is without being photorealistic. This is really beautiful work Pam, CONGRATULATIONS!

Artist Debbie Haynes placed her final touches on another lovely little painting. I love how she captured a special intimate moment between the two men, and using placement in the composition to emphasize their relational closeness (father/son). The use of an empty foreground really speaks to a sense of motion and destination—this is a most captivating image. CONGRATULATIONS in completing another engaging work of art!

Artist Robin Ball really excelled on this double portrait. Robin has truly communicated the love the lady in the painting has for her dog, and the dog’s love for her. I delight in how the artist has so expertly modulated the subtleties of the skin on her face and delicate transitions in the animal’s fur and eye. Robin also expertly modified the background lighting from the source image to significantly improve the painting, making for a much more pleasing effect—CONGRATULATIONS Robin on finishing another captivating artwork!

Artist Donna Hefner finished this sweet little painting last week and I wanted to share it with you all. Donna did a wonderful job in simplifying the background of the original source image, allowing the petals of the flower to truly shine. I love how she faithfully captured the various hues in the flower, setting them as a strong contrast with the background.—CONGRATULATIONS, Donna on another job well done!

Artist Debbie Haynes recently finished this lovely still life with lemons and I want to share it. I love how she has captured the vivid bounce light between the fruit, enhancing the color to an almost orange glow, and how she has so expertly modulated the edges, keeping some very sharply defined and others blurry/soft. Once again, you have made beautiful art, Debbie—CONGRATULATIONS!

Pam has driven by this barn multiple times, always intending to make it a painting, and she has done a wonderful job. I love how she has modulated the various grays of the woods behind the barn and popped the closer evergreens’ chroma, which dramatically enhances that wonderful red of the farm structures! Artist Cris Cleary placed the final strokes on this tiny, but striking painting recently. I love how she chose to feature the complimentary colors of the red/green plant, juxtaposed to the wonderfully playful background shadows. Cris’s sensitivity to subtle color shifts and values truly speaks of her understanding how to truly see. This is another beautifully painted work of art—CONGRATULATIONS!

A few days ago, artist Donna Hefner completed this enchanting floral painting and I want you all to enjoy it. The color palette is so engaging and magical; almost etherial. Her depiction of the blossoms as soft transitions of color, with some merging into the background is so beautifully handled, I find myself getting lost in the jumble of hues. March of 2026 also resulted in artist Karen Keyes having painted this captivating vision of one of her garden’s butterflies. Karen is a true lepidopterist. She not only loves gardening for their successful habitat, she also will travel with multiple chrysalises in a jar to observe the metamorphosis! This painting represents the beginning of a series on butterflies and I am eager to enjoy each of her beautiful creations. CONGRATULATIONS Karen on creating more beautiful art!

Last month, artist Robin Ball painted this captivating floral subject featuring a masterfully handled winged insect. Robin’s ability to subtly modulate those delicate lavender flower petals shows great ability and understanding of color mixing.
