The Blue Ridge Edition

The guys are set to take to the stage again at the end of April following several months of hard work in preparing some long-forgotten country classics; don't worry, the popular favorites are still part of the lineup. And we do have numerous open dates through the end of the year. In addition to some upcoming private events, The Blue Ridge Edition will be appearing at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Newton on Saturday, June 6 at 6pm for an evening of classic country music. The address is 3764 N Olivers Cross Rd, Newton, NC 28658. This event is open to the public.

The guys have spent the past three months bringing numerous forgotten classics back to life and we look forward to sharing some of those with you in addition to our most requested crowd favorites.

Folks have been asking when and where we'll be appearing next so we just wanted to give an update. Back in December, we made the decision to take a couple of months away from performing to bring some new songs into the lineup. There are a few closed engagements booked for later in the year but hope to organize at least two or three public concerts between now and then. Dates are still available for booking the group as well. The "new" material, like everything else we do is 35-60 years old so when we bring it to the stage it actually is new to someone. We're really excited about these new additions and believe you're going to enjoy them. Don't worry; your favorites will still be in there! We're hoping to have a spring concert date locked down within the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

Happy Birthday to a man who is by FAR the oldest member of the group, our baritone, Charles Tomblin. Your cake is running a little late; they told us we could get a discount if we ordered the candles in bulk! 🎂

As 2025 draws to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all of you who have supported us during the past year. On behalf of Dave, Randy, Charles, and Bruce, Happy New Year!

How busy were we during the Christmas season? So busy that we failed to get a Christmas 2025 group portrait. Fortunately though, we have this gem from last year and we're using it today to wish you all a Merry Christmas. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.

The guys concluded their 2025 season this morning in front of a wonderful audience at the Rutherford College Town Hall. It was a real pleasure seeing so many familiar faces as well as some who were hearing us for the first time. A big thanks to all who came out this morning, and a special heartfelt appreciation to Rutherford College Town Clerk Terra Brieno for coordinating our appearance and to Mayor Yates Jensen for his ongoing support. Following a short Christmas break, The Blue Ridge Edition will be returning to the rehearsal studio to prepare new material for 2026. Look for us again in March!

The following is a public service announcement from your friends at The Blue Ridge Edition.

Some of you have been good all year long. Santa knows this and has duly noted your exemplary behavior in his little book. Then there are others whose names are recorded in that same notebook in red ink (you know who you are). With only two weeks until Christmas, you should be concerned; very concerned in some cases. It is our sincere hope that if you suspect you may not be in Santa's good graces you'll change your ways, at least for two weeks. We're not going to call anyone by name because that's not who we are. And please note, the attached photo is not meant to insinuate anything; it was just a convenient attachment.

The guys were in Newton this morning presenting their 2nd annual Blue Ridge Christmas program for the seniors group at Old St. Pauls Lutheran Church. A good time was had by all and they were a wonderful audience. Their final show of the year will be Thursday, December 18 at the Rutherford College Town Hall at 10:30am. Although donations are welcome and appreciated, there is no admission fee and it is open to the public. We hope to see you there.
