🎨🐾 Welcome back, Mr. Rynearson, to Midway Middle School! 🎉
We are excited to welcome Mr. Rynearson back to the Panther family as our Art teacher! He previously taught at MMS from 2010–2025 and served as an assistant coach for MHS Tennis from 2011–2025. After spending last year teaching art at RVMS, he is returning home to MMS and will also continue as an assistant coach for MHS Tennis.
Originally from Temple, Texas, Mr. Rynearson and his wife recently celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary. They have two children and two grandchildren. Outside of school, you can often find him at Salado Glassworks creating beautiful pieces through the art of glass blowing.
We are thrilled to have his creativity, talent, and experience back at MMS!

🏐🔥 The MMS staff came ready to compete and dominated the 8th graders in the annual Staff vs. Student Panther Showdown volleyball game!
There were plenty of laughs, great rallies, and competitive moments as staff showed they still have some game. Thank you to our students and staff for making this annual tradition so much fun!
🐾 Staff bragging rights remain intact... at least for another year! 😎

🌟💡 The student section was glowing with Panther pride at our Neon Pep Rally!
Students and staff showed up in their brightest neon colors, and the gym was filled with glow sticks galore. The energy was electric as everyone joined in the fun to celebrate an incredible school year.
What a bright way to wrap up the year at MMS! ❤️💙✨

🏀🔥 Here are some highlights from the basketball games at the annual MMS Panther Showdown!
Students gave it their all, but once again, the MMS teachers proved that experience wins! 😎 From big shots to plenty of laughs, the staff came away with the victory and earned another year of bragging rights.

A Texas A&M graduate, Mr. Martin brings 19 years of teaching experience, with most of his career focused on Texas History. He is excited to begin a new chapter at MMS and share his passion for history with his students.
Mr. Martin and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for 24 years and have two children in college. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys traveling with his family, exploring historical places, watching sports, and refereeing high school soccer.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Martin to the Panther family and look forward to the experience and enthusiasm he will bring to MMS!

🎉 Welcome Mr. Guel to Midway Middle School! 🎉
Please join us in welcoming Mr. Guel, our new 8th Grade Social Studies teacher!
A proud Baylor graduate, Mr. Guel is beginning his 26th year in education and brings seven years of experience teaching World History and World Geography. He loves helping students connect the events of the past to the world around them today.
Outside of the classroom, Mr. Guel enjoys spending time with his wife, Lauren, and their dog, Springer. He is an avid reader, enjoys music and traveling, and loves cheering on his hometown Houston sports teams—especially the Astros!
We are excited to welcome Mr. Guel to the Panther family and look forward to a great year ahead!

🎉 Welcome Mrs. Sindelar to Midway Middle School! 🎉
Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Sindelar, our new 7th Grade Math teacher!
Mrs. Sindelar recently moved to the area from San Antonio and brings 15 years of experience in elementary education. She is excited to begin a new chapter teaching middle school math and was recognized last year as part of the first group in her district to earn a TIA Master Teacher Designation.
Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, creating arts and crafts, and playing and designing board games.
We are excited to welcome Mrs. Sindelar to the Panther family and look forward to the impact she will make at MMS!

🎉 Welcome Mr. Murphy to Midway Middle School! 🎉
Please join us in welcoming Mr. Murphy, our new 6th Grade Social Studies teacher!
Originally from Colorado, Mr. Murphy began his teaching career in Texas in 2022 after serving as a youth pastor for 10 years. He is passionate about history, exploring new places, meeting new people, and helping students discover the world around them.
Mr. Murphy and his wife, Erica, have been married for 16 years and are proud parents of six amazing children—three biological and three foster children. One of his most memorable experiences was traveling to China, where he explored the Great Wall, visited the Forbidden City, and even officiated a former student’s wedding on the side of a mountain.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Murphy to the Panther family and can’t wait to see the impact he makes at MMS!
