People think of Latina women as being fiery and fierce, which is usually true...who am I kidding?!

But I think the quality that so many Latinas possess is strength...and it isn't talked about enough.

Today isn't about getting drunk...today isnt about tacos (even though bet your ass I'm gonna eat some today)..and today is NOT Mexico's independence day.

Today is a VICTORY in our Mexicano history that allowed us to preserve our culture. We stood our ground against the French to protect our families, homes, land, and culture.

They had organized armies and guns...our ancestors had farmers, families that included WOMEN on the battle field, and sheer determination. And on the 5th of May we WON the battle of Pueblo... showing everyone in the world how STRONG our people are.

Today is a celebration of our culture and strength.

So in honor of the strength and beauty of Mexicanas....myself and a few friends recreated some iconic Latina historical looks of beauty and strength....and made them a bit more modern and sexy.
