Wembly Swim and Racquet Club

Our Wembly Waves 🌊 competed against the Hanover Golf Club tonight on their turf in Swim Meet #3️⃣! Our superb Shark🦈 friends in Hanover made us feel so welcome at our first *away* meet of the season. We couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous night for a swim meet. We were all wrapped up at 8.45PM… just when the fireflies were waking up ✨on the stunning golf course out there! Thanks so much for your hospitality and fun atmosphere, Hanover Golf Club!

🎉🥳🎈 We’ve got a birthday to celebrate today! On behalf of the volunteer Board of Directors and all of the Wembly Waves Swim Team, we would like to wish Coach Rocco a very happy 1️⃣7️⃣th birthday! Members will recognize him as a lifeguard, and swim families will recognize him as a beloved coach, and he’s an important part of our community! Happy BIRTHDAY, Rocco! 🎁

Join us from 6 - 8 PM on the pool deck, for WEMBLY’S KICK-OFF KAROKE EVENT OF THE SEASON (weather permitting)

Tickets can be purchased for $1 at the snack shack. Your ticket will be used aa your song request which will be turned into our DJ: Rachel Dunlap.

We are so. so. STOKED to announce a SPIRIT NIGHT to support our Wembly Waves this summer at ’s Short Pump location on Thursday, 7.2.26. Come out and get some ice cream, and they’ll donate a portion of what we purchase back to our Waves and our pool! We want to pack the whole ice cream shop with our Wembly membership, so please plan to come out!

Hawkins (1st meet!), Adrian (dropped times!), Morgan (1st meet!), and Kipton (1st meet) ‼️‼️ Different strokes, different goals, different kiddos… same big smiles and sense of accomplishment! Way to crush those goals, Waves 🌊!

Our Wembly Waves 🌊 swam against the magnificent Mechanicsville Recreation Association tonight here at Wembly! The weather turned out to be beautiful this afternoon 🌤️. We enjoyed chicken sammies 🍗 from our Snack Shack, and sweet Italian ice from .ices ! It was such a fun and friendly competition, with lots of loud cheers 📣 and big splashes 💦 from both teams. Final score: MRA = 766, Wembly = 501.

We are proud of all the participants tonight, and especially to our 🆕 swim team families who participated in their first meets tonight!! WAY TO GO!!! Big ~congratulations~ are headed your way at our fun swim and ribbons tomorrow at 9AM!

Thursday, June 11th is National Say Hi Day 👋 To celebrate Wembly members are able to bring a guest for free with code word “Hi” at the front gate. Is there any better way to celebrate summer than with friends? One (1) guest per member, all day!

Friday, June 12th, in addition to our standing float night, Wembly will be serenading each other! Our first karaoke night!! 🎤 🎶 Members can participate by purchasing a ticket from the snack shack for $1, turn in request to DJ and BOOM: you are a STAR ⭐️ What song are you thinking about singing? Leave it in the comments below and our favorite will get a free round on the mic!
