Congratulations to Elliot Clark!

We were thrilled to showcase Vaya Health with our Member Spotlight on June 4th. Elliott Clark, Director shared an overview of Vaya Health with us. Vaya Health is a Public Health Plan with specialty in mental health, substance abuse, intellectual/developmental disability (IDD) and traumatic brain injury needs. They provide a managed care system where they contract various services. Their accountability is through county and state elected officials, serving 32 counties in North Carolina with the local office serving Vance, Granville, Franklin, Person and Alamance Counties. They are a safety net supplement with state funds who serves the adults on Medicaid with crisis services and training. People without insurance or limited insurance who cannot afford care may meet specific eligibility criteria for service. They have plans to start building a new facility very soon. Mark your calendars to join us at Perry Memorial Library on Tuesday, June 16th from 4-6pm for our Summer Reading Kickoff! This event is rain or shine and will be happening in our Gallery area! All ages welcome! There will be free fun and activities for all! Register for the program at the link below! Read anywhere, on your own time, anything you want, and bring in your log each week for free prizes from area businesses!

Recovery Month may be in September, but Vance Recovery is already planning! 💜

We are excited to begin organizing a variety of activities for our patients and our hard-working staff — especially during the last week of September. Our goal is to celebrate recovery, spread hope, reduce stigma, and continue building strong community connections.

Vance Recovery is proud to be collaborating with our next-door neighbor, Freedom Bridge, to better serve our community! 💜

Freedom Bridge has provided Vance Recovery with “Care Kits for Queens” to support those in need, and they also have the Legal Aid Bus in our parking lot today to assist individuals with legal concerns and questions.

The Legal Aid Bus will be here until 2:00 PM today. Please feel free to stop by and utilize this resource if needed!
