The Foundation was established in 2012 by UNLV Runnin' Rebels Head Basketball Coach Dave Rice and his wife Mindy.

Las Vegas is assistant coach Dave Rice’s kind of town. The Huskies are now his kind of team Dave Rice, the former Nevada assistant and UNLV coach, is in his first season as an assistant under Washington coach Mike Hopkins. Rice has been a vital part of Hopkins’ staff and has helped guide the Huskies to a 20-win season as UW enters the Pac-12 tournament in Las Vegas.
