The Point

A shallow area (sand bar) on the east end of Lake Cherokee. Legend has it that this area was once inhabited by native indians. Get to The Point!!

If you dig your toes deep enough into the sand you might find a piece of broken pottery made long ago, if you look closely you can see the brush strokes from the indian squaw that made it by hand. About 8-10 years ago a couple of shareholders built a simple "tiki bar" for one to set a beverage if so inclined. Shortly after followed a primitive volleyball net and a patio umbrella.
