Deb Willett, Manager of Special Collections Education & Community Engagement, and visiting scholar Mark Boyne examined our collection of Golden Cockerel Press books this week. Golden Cockerel was one of the foremost English private presses and we are lucky to have many beautiful examples of their work.

We were excited to welcome Dr Pasupathi’s English 116 (Shakespeare later plays) to see our newly restored fourth folio (1685) and several exact copies of early editions of Shakespeare’s plays.
