Speaker Bio: Rowaida Abdelaziz is an award-winning journalist who focuses on civil rights and social justice issues. Currently, at HuffPost, Rowaida spearheads the coverage of Islamophobia and its intersection with politics, culture, and gender.
Her notable works exposing anti-Muslim policies have led to reunifying families and reopening hate crime cases. Fluent in Arabic, Rowaida also has written numerous stories on the Middle East and covered refugee communities from Syria, Yemen, and other parts of the Arab world. Outside of work, Rowaida finds immense joy gathering with loved ones over a delicious meal, particularly her favorite, stuffed grape leaves.

We will be having a Bake Sale this coming Wednesday, February 15th from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM in the Student Center Atrium to raise money for those affected by the devastating earthquakes in Syria & Turkey. If you would like to donate items for sale, fill out the link in the linktree of our bio. All proceeds will go to Islamic Relief USA.

Salaam everyone! We're so excited to announce our final social event of the semester: Ice Skating at Bryant Park! After all your hard work and dedication with Charity Week, we wanted you all to have a fun and relaxing social event nearing the end of the semester.

We’re so excited to announce that we will be We have 20 spots open for sign-ups, and they will be filled on a first come first serve basis in the excel sheet linked in our bio. Tickets for Ice Skating are paid for, but you will be responsible for transportation. We will all meet at Bryant Park at 4:20 PM. Please make sure to not bring any loose items or bags as we will not have much space to store them. Be sure to sign up as soon as possible, and have a friend or two sign up as well! Cancellations must happen 24 hours prior, otherwise you will be responsible for the ticket cost. We hope to see you there!

Charity Week USA 2022 We’re calling on all of our friends and family to get involved with Charity Week 2022 and support us in raising as much as we can for Orphans and Children in Need.
