Riley Thennis, our RN of 5 years finished her last week on Friday in that role at Edgewood. While we will miss her, we are excited for her as she begins her new role as an ICU Nurse in the Missoula area.

We are also excited to report that Riley will continue to work with Edgewood as needed in a PRN Nursing role!

Thanks for all of your hard work at Edgewood - the care, compassion, and bonds you made with our residents and their families left such a positive impact.

What a busy Wednesday here at Edgewood!!

Our friend Debbie came to sell Avon makeup products to our residents in the morning, and Headwaters Hospice and Palliative Care brought our caregivers Italian sodas to celebrate Caregiver Week!

Thank you to the Pocha Brothers in Helena for refinishing 8 chairs for our Memory Care! You did a fabulous job and now these chairs will get many more years of enjoyment.

Willie doesn’t come to Rock Steady Boxing because he’s training for a heavyweight title. He comes because he’s giving Parkinson’s a run for its money.

For Willie, every class is a commitment to keep moving. What started as an exercise program has become something much bigger: a community, a source of confidence, and a place where determination shows up again and again. The punches matter. The drills matter. But the real victory is showing up and refusing to let Parkinson’s define the next chapter.

Parkinson’s may have changed the fight, but for Willie, it doesn’t get the final round!

Sometimes the best activities are the ones that happen naturally. Gathered in sunshine and laughter - these are the little moments that make our community feel like home.

A big thank you to our friends from Rocky Mountain Development Council, Myrna Loy Theater, and Headwaters Hospice and Palliative Care for putting on a free dementia-friendly showing of the Wizard of Oz yesterday afternoon.

Caregivers were in attendance to help our residents to and from their seats and each of us got a free popcorn and soda to go along with the movie.

What a wonderful thing to offer to our community!

Teachers make up many of our residents. What makes it special is how they bring the same patience and understanding they once used in the classroom into everyday life here. So, while they may not have a lesson plan anymore… they’re still shaping the room, building connections, and making people feel seen.

Because they didn’t stop teaching. They just changed classrooms.

We enjoyed learning more today at the Fort Harrison Military Museum! Thank you to the wonderful volunteers who were so knowledgeable and shared so much with us.
