We remember.
We WILL NOT let hate win.
When the hate feels so big and overwhelming, I’m reminded that a movement for change can start with only 2 people who have an idea of a way to fight hate, one that they are excited about, one that makes them vibrate with determination and hope, and one that makes a difference right where they are. A movement doesn’t start with 50 or a 100 people or need a national focus. It ignites by the passion of the vision of one or two people. Look up the beginnings of .
Always remember the power of 2-3 people to fight hate. They will draw in more people, even if just a few, because soon their passion will draw in more who will bring more and so on. Nor does it need to impact a national cause (although, go for it if it does).
What is it that you can do in your community, big or small? Small, personal interactions may be the most influential in our country today. The national picture and the pervasive and undying acts of hatred seem insurmountable. Local change, person to person, is revolutionary, even if we don’t see any visible results. Please look around you and find what you can do now.
You have the power to affect change. Two people sharing their passion and vision draws people in and momentum builds. Take the risk, step out!
“We will not let hate win” is a call for action. It had teeth. Be the teeth!
