What gets your heart rate going? For me it is a moment like this - the anticipation of seeing a little c**t within hours of hatching. A very small percentage of the world will ever witness this precious event.

No summer is complete without seeing a hummingbird as it flits from flower to flower feeding on the sweet nectar. They play a very important role as a pollinator.

With the right light, one can capture the varied colors of the White-faced Ibis. One of many species that travel to Montana for the breeding season. Our wetland area are the ideal habitat for nesting. Not to mention all those tasty bugs.

The American mink is a sleek, nimble predator, both on land and in the water. Blink and you might miss one. They are small in size but fearless in attitude. Mink are powerful swimmers, skilled hunters, and one of those challenging mammals to photograph. This image was captured as this curious little hunter raced along a small waterway in search of prey.

Wildlife photography is often about patience, timing, and learning the behavior of the animals you pursue. Encounters like this one never get old.
