Few young people would like to see their team split in two. However, when a 15s squad plays 7s, that is what happens. In spite of having to play against her teammates, Berit DeGrandpre of the Iron Vixens showed true leadership during all of the games of the Rickena 7s tournament. DeGrandpre went out of her way to help other players, supported both teams, and made sure that every interaction was a positive one. She showed what the spirit of rugby was all about.

It only makes sense that one of the MRRS's newest referees, Sakai Scheffer, would give her a Green Card!

Thanks so much to , , and for helping to grow the game.

So what happens when you have two young men who spend all day running balls out for a 7s tournament - just because they love the game? We have to card them - with green cards!

As said by Referee Patrick Brewer "These two troopers came out of the stands, and were outstanding ball boys for the Jack Riekena Memorial 7's tournament. Spending all day in the blazing heat, they made sure we had a ball at center pitch after every try, and shagged the balls kicked for conversions. They asked a million questions about the game, and hopefully in time, will both turn into future ruggers. It's all about the future, and growing this sport here in the states."

Thank you Blake and Korbin!

And thanks so much to World Rugby Shop, USA Rugby, and World Rugby for helping to grow the game.
