Jared Torres- P4 finish after starting last

Saturday June 6th- Orange Show and Stateline

Jared Torres at Orange Show- P5 finish, starting last again Saturday due to a track decision to honor a timing error, and not wanting to be involved in a lap 1 turn 1 wreck caused by that decision.

Carsyn Murphy at Stateline- P6 finish, started pole and led some solid laps and got shuffled out late in the running but showed promising speed for the weeks to come

98 Speed Shop owner Brendan Tracy put the house car into a car show at his cousins new car wash grand opening.

Carsyn had a good showing Friday running some fast laps and bringing home a podium finish after tech, and then Saturday both Carsyn and Brendan battled degrading tires. Brendan had an issue in qualifying that resulted in him having to start last in the feature.

We had intentions of racing the Cars Tour Northwest race at Wenatchee but due to circumstances outside of control we were unable to make that event. Looking forward to the month of May and might see us adding a race to this calendar.

2025 Asphalt Nationals

Not the weekend we expected or wanted, didn’t get the finishes we came into the weekend hoping for, but it was a fun and growing experience in Vegas. Showed some speed in the features and looking forward to 2026.

Showed really good pace out of both cars all weekend, having never been to Wenatchee, put some notes together and learned alot of what to do differently as a program next time. Finishes were enough for 2 pro wins for Brendan Tracy and a pair of 4th place semi-pro runs for Kaylee Decker. Back to Wenatchee this Saturday. Thanks to for coming along on the trip as a hand and bringing a truck to make it to these final few shows of the year.

Overall an extremely successful season almost every 98 Speed Shop Driver took home a podium finish over the course of the 2025 MVSO season, Track championship, multiple feature wins, swept all the heat races we had cars in, and 2 new lap records. Thank you to all of our customers and to the staff and race fans at mission valley for always giving their all for a place to race in Montana.

3 weeks of racing left before INEX points come to a close, and then nationals in Vegas, here’s to chasing more trophies.

That’s a wrap on championship night at Mission Valley Super Oval. Brendan Tracy grabbed the weekend sweep and securing the track championship. With Kaylee Decker grabbing podium finishes in all 3 features on the weekend. We are extremely proud of the progress Kaylee was able to make for her first time at this extremely difficult track to learn. She was running lap times that impressed many. Look forward to more with her and her family.

BREAKING: The 2026 Legend Car Asphalt Nationals will be held at Dillon Motor Speedway in South Carolina. After receiving multiple messages within the hour that it was announced at track, LN reached out to INEX, who confirmed that while there is not a date set, they confirmed Dillon will be the host track for the event in 2026. More information about the 2026 Legend Car Asphalt Nationals at Dillon Motor Speedway will be posted in the future once known.
