Today I saw this in a Realtor@ publication:

Nationally, homes priced at $1 million or more have grown from 1.3% of all housing stock to 5.2% since 2005, showing that the definition of luxury housing has changed over the last two decades. Coastal states like Hawaii, California, Massachusetts and New York—with elevated home values and limited housing supply—have the most homes above the $1 million threshold.

Did you know, that '$100,000 house' above, using the cpi index, is now worth 1,062,000 dollars.
