Happy Juneteenth! ❤️🖤💚 Today we honor freedom, celebrate resilience, and reflect on the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice. Wishing everyone a meaningful day of remembrance, learning, and community.

Inviting all of our Kinship youth aged 14-18 to the second part of this month’s Job Workshop! 🎉

Join us next Monday, June 15th, from 12-3pm to learn more about the job searching process, practice completing applications, and do mock interview activities with your peers!

Happy Pride Month!🥳🎉🌈 This year’s San Francisco Pride theme, “Resistance in Action,” is a powerful reminder that Pride began as a movement for visibility, dignity, and justice—and continues today as a call to stand in solidarity and care for one another.

Pride Month is a time to honor the resilience, contributions, and leadership of LGBTQIA+ individuals while recognizing the ongoing work needed to create communities where everyone can thrive.

Happy June, Kinship caregivers! Join us this month for our various support groups and workshops. We are so excited for another month of community and we hope to see you there!

The next Free Diaper Kit Giveaway is on Thursday, June 11 at 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the Downtown Library (Entrance facing C Street)! Diaper distribution for low-income Hayward residents will continue on a month by month basis.

We’re excited to invite you to a special overnight camping experience hosted by Kinship in partnership with East Bay Regional Parks!

Join us for an overnight trip at Lake Chabot–Hawk Ridge, a beautiful outdoor setting perfect for connecting with nature, community, and fun. This trip is open to youth ages 7–18. Caregivers are welcome to join, but caregiver participation is not required for youth to attend.

What to expect:

Hiking scenic trails
Stargazing under the night sky
Campfire s’mores and storytelling
Nature-based activities and games
Time to relax, connect, and enjoy the outdoors

Location: Lake Chabot Regional Park – Hawk Ridge campsite area

Starting June 1 until August 7, pick up a free bag lunch for kids and teens, courtesy of Open Heart Kitchen, at Rincon and Spring libraries . No paperwork or registration required. First come, first served. Vegetarian option available. No lunch distribution on June 19 or July 3.

Join Summer Learning for all ages. Register at Livermore.beanstack.org or on the Beanstack app. Paper gameboards are also available at all Livermore Library locations. Summer Learning runs until August 4, 2026. Participants who track their reading and activities have a chance to win prizes. Everyone receives a free book just for signing up!
