Here are a few photos that correspond to the Cda Press articles on Urban Wood that I have been writing. This bench sits inside my sauna’s dressing room. It was crafted by Mr Aho, originally “The Bench Guy” The wood was repurposed from a Red Oak tree that had to be removed when property lines were adjusted. It has been fun researching previous owners of the property, their history and connection to the land. My goal is to learn where this tree came from, who planted it AND showcase the possibilities of our urban wood. A quality bench is nice but one with a story “ingrained” in it, holds much more value to me.
