Rockman Farm

Citrus greening has had an enormous impact on the Florida citrus industry. Decimating groves, this disease will destroy Florida citrus if no solution is found. By partnering with industry experts, local growers, vendors, and citrus families, Rockman Farm hopes to learn, as well as share, information on how to grow healthy, strong trees that are able to fight off this disease. Rockman Farm is a proponent of soil health as a key factor in grove health.

A few photos from the farm of the historic Island Grove Methodist Church. The church has fallen into disrepair over the past few decades, and after the recent battering from Hurricane Irma, the rear of the church has pulled away from the building. We are looking into options for the church at this point. Though we believe it may be too far gone to restore, we hope to make use of wood, windows, beams, any salvageable parts, and incorporate them into Rockman Farm's new buildings and structures.
