I first got interested in Art at a very young age when I saw one of my grandmothers producing a variety of beautiful art. Later I realized that my maternal aunts and my many first cousins were painting, writing poetry, and forming 3-D images (from corn husk dolls to carvings to forming statues.) I meant this picture to represent my feelings about Ukraine when the war first started. The swing & angel are symbols that represent them being kept safe from harm.
