A Beautiful New Chapter for Manoa Nursery School: Announcing an Exciting Community Partnership! 🌟🏫

As we celebrated the final day of the school year last Friday, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our families, neighbors, and friends. For over 50 years, it has been an absolute privilege to watch generations of children grow, learn, and laugh within our walls.

Today, we are sharing an important transition of stewardship that secures a vibrant, long-term future for this cherished community program.

A New Management Partnership 🤝
Manoa Community Church has prayerfully decided that the church will no longer directly manage the nursery school program. To honor the rich history and incredible legacy of the school, we are thrilled to announce that Delaware County Christian School will assume management responsibilities and operate Manoa Nursery School beginning this August!

This is a beautiful collaboration between two local ministries dedicated to providing exemplary, Christ-centered education. Under this new structure:

The Legacy Continues: The school will remain right here at its current location and continue to operate under the trusted Manoa Nursery School brand.

Operational Excellence: DC will handle administrative oversight, implementing best practices and taking over the management structure to ensure the school thrives for years to come.

Our Beloved Faculty: Our teachers are dearly loved. Current staff have been given priority access to an employment portal to transition under the new DC management. Our highest desire is to keep our wonderful educators right where they belong—in the classroom with your children.

Summer Preparations & Reopening Details ☀️🗓️
The DC leadership team, led by Director of Mission Sustainability Joy Ludwig (former elementary principal and Pre-K teacher), will spend the summer refreshing the environment and prepping for a seamless, high-quality reopening.

Official Opening Date: Wednesday, September 2, 2026

Current Enrollment: If you have already completed the enrollment process for PreK 3 or PreK 4, your spot is secure and there is nothing else you need to do at this time.

Applications Open: We are actively accepting applications for our PreK 3 and PreK 4 programs! If you know a family looking for a nurturing, faith-filled start to their child's education, please share this news.

⚠️ An Important Note for PreK 2 Families
Out of deep respect for our families' planning time, we want to be forthright that the PreK 2 (PK2) program will not be continuing under the new structure administered by DC.

We are deeply sorry for the disruption this causes. We want to help connect affected families with alternative early childhood resources. Notably, DC currently offers a state-certified 2-year-old program on their Devon campus. Openings are limited, but interested families can contact Louisa Thompson at [email protected] to explore this option.

Transitions bring a mix of emotions, but we rest in God's faithfulness, which spans generations. We are fully committed to ensuring Manoa Nursery School remains a safe, nurturing haven where little ones grow in faith and knowledge. As Jesus reminded us:
