We had a great time at Bethany Community Services, Inc. in Haverhill for our presentation on elder financial exploitation in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15.
On Tuesday, Stadium Assistant Branch Manager Izaiah Delossantos, Merrimack Street Branch Assistant Vice President/Market Manager Nicole Molesso and Westgate Branch Assistant Vice President/Marketing Manager Maggie Foulks of Pentucket Bank presented information to residents of Bethany Communities on how they can keep themselves safe from scam attempts. The presentation featured tips, facts, and useful examples to help the attendants understand how to manage these situations.
Elder financial exploitation is a serious issue that impacts seniors across the country. We wanted to make sure our seniors know all the right steps to take to make sure they don’t get taken advantage of. These situations can surface from a multitude of sources that make them hard to identify, and educating our community is part of our mission at Pentucket Bank.
A very special thank you to the Haverhill Police - Official who took the time present their own examples and advice, joining us on our mission to educate, inform, and protect the community.
We want to remind our customers that if anything seems suspicious, call your bank. Contacting a professional is the best method for neutralizing scam attempts. We are always happy to help with any situation.
