Hey y’all! Long time no talk!
We’re gearing up to kick off a short run with my best buddy and brother Ben Abney and the Hurts in a short eight days!
Hope to see y’all out and about.
It’s been way too damn long.
Hello for the first time in a while!!!
I’m back on here from hibernation for a couple days to try and sell off some merch and studio gear, as well as a couple preorders to y’all fine people. I’ve had a bit of a financial crisis, and am trying to make some ends meet as well as making room for all the new WT Newton and Manuscript merch. 👀👀👀
I’ve got 17 of the double album CDs leftover from tour! Each order comes with extras too. $15
I have the Nick Shoulders design, the Diamond, and the reaper shirts available in all sizes. $25.
I’ve got 50 preorders for the new cassette and CD package release of “the Fires May Be Through” left. $35 (ships in December)
I’ve got 50 preorders for the Manuscript CD / Vinyl release. $50 (Ships in January)
I’m never making any of that merch again or pressing TDAS to CD another time, so if you want any of it, speak now or forever hold yer piece.
I’ve got a Martin DX1AE guitar for sale.
She’s seen the whole country and Europe with the likes of Fishgutzzz, SS Web, and myself. Wonderful onboard electronics and a tone that don’t quit.
$500
I have a Fujiya FL-523 portable reel to reel recorder with all of the original attachments. I’ve refurbished it, and it comes with a few spools of tape. $250
A no name large diaphragm condenser microphone. It’s a replicate of an old theater mic, and works about as good as an Ear Trumpet Labs would. $150
I’ll post more as the day wears on, but if you have any questions or would like photos feel free to reach out. Thanks y’all.

Pals, cohorts, enemies, and countrymen.
I am unfortunately not going to be able to play anymore shows for a yet undetermined amount of time. I’ve developed some serious problems with my vocal chord folds, and in playing these last shows have made matters much more troublesome. If you’re one of the folks that has asked why my voice has been sounding different, well… that’s why. It’s just now been confirmed. I’ve got a road to exams and treatment laid out ahead of me, which I’m wildly grateful for.
This also means that “Bitter Is the Tongue That Heals These Wounds” will no longer be coming out this summer, as I still had four more songs to track vocals on and absolutely cannot do that in this condition.
All of my love and gratitude to my amazing label .creek.tapes for their understanding and support in this dumb and scary moment.
Y’all know what though?
It’s been a fu***ng magical sixteen years playing music for y’all, and if for some reason, my last show winds up being this heartwarming moment between Michael Vasquez and I pictured here, I am A-fu***ng-OK with it.
I love y’all so very much.
Thank you for all of your love, support, understanding, and friendship.
Hell or high water, I’m still the luckiest leaping jackass in this big ole world.
With love,
WT

The peaks and valleys of this life we’re afforded can be some of the most treacherous, and also the sweetest. The kind of sweetness that fills your nostrils when you happen across a field of wildflowers or a sense memory of your grandmother baking in the adjoining room.
The love for the peaks is what brought Stryker and I together when we were damn nigh children. The sound of old guitars, ci******es on rooftops, wine in graveyards, home cooked meals, grocery trips together, bicycle roadtrips, and an undying infatuation with each other as siblings.
The valleys were always equally as treacherous, but we by god weathered them together. Even if we had a country between us, we always weathered them together. They had the guitar that started County Graves hanging on their wall. I had their drawings they’d do for me on mine. We had an immense love for each other locked up in each other’s hearts like a goddamned gunsafe.
You always put me up when I was in California. We lived together for a period. You booked the show in New Orleans on this tour for me. You told me you had COVID and couldn’t come out. Someone else there told me they were concerned about you, and I told you how much I loved you. I cried knowing you were having a rough time, and that there wasn’t really anything I could do in that moment other than tell you how much I loved you.
You were truly the sweetest friend I’ve ever had, and I don’t know how to navigate some of these things without you randomly texting me and calling me your “bestie bby”. You make me soar.
I am so angry that Shawna never got to meet you.
I’m glad you and Jon had such a wonderful relationship when he was younger.
I am going to miss you more than I can ever begin to say.
Rest sweetly, my dear friend. I love you so much, and I cannot find the words to express that.
May the peaks be plentiful, babe.
