Throwing it back to where it all began! 🛠️

Over 20 years ago, we pioneered the profiled subframe connectors you see here for our first major project, “Poison Dart.”

Back then, aftermarket support for full frames didn’t exist, so we had to innovate.

Our design caught the eye of Bill Riley at Riley Motorsports, who began manufacturing these specifically for Mopar products.

This build features an inverted U-channel inside and plug welding for maximum strength.

It’s the perfect solution for those who want a rock-solid build without committing to a full chassis.

What was the first major modification you ever made to your project car? Let’s hear your stories in the comments! 👇

Picking the right transmission for a high-horsepower build can make or break your classic car project. Here is the breakdown of the current “hot tickets” for modern swaps:

• The Powerhouse Options: Builders are choosing between heavy-duty options like the 4L80E (four-speed), the 6L80E (six-speed), and the 8HP70 Mopar (eight-speed) to handle engines like the Hellcat, LT, or twin-turbo LS.

• The Size Struggle: While the GM 4L80E and 6L80E are incredibly strong, their large size often leads to ground clearance issues or requires cutting into the transmission tunnel of muscle cars.

• The Modern Winner: The 8HP70 is becoming the go-to choice because its slim design fits into most tunnels without major modifications.

• Tech Breakthrough: Thanks to new software and standalone control systems, the 8HP70 is now a viable and popular swap for high-horsepower builds.

Transform your classic with the pioneers of the bolt-in full frame! 🏎️💨

Schwartz Performance led the way as the first to create full frames that bolt directly into unibody cars, and we’ve been perfecting them for over a decade.

Check out this 1968–1974 Nova chassis featuring our refined, lightweight design.

Why choose our bolt-in full frame?

• Maximum Strength: Provides the structural support needed for modern horsepower in a convenient bolt-in package.

• Weight Reduction: Our optimized design actually reduces the overall weight of your car.

• Easy Installation: It bolts in where the front subframe used to be and connects to the factory rear subframe, requiring only a tiny, shallow slot in the floor.

Ready to upgrade your ride? Give us a call and let’s get started on your build! 🛠️

The project is entering the final stages of completion for this Hellcat-powered Challenger.

Here is a look at the interior details and what is coming next:

• Manual Transmission: The build features a T-56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission.

• The Signature Shifter: Equipped with a Mopar-style pistol grip shift lever, which is essential for a manual Mopar.

• Carbon Fiber Accents: The interior already features carbon fiber on the instrument cluster and door panels.

• Final Touches: Real carbon fiber inserts for the shift handle will be installed shortly to match the rest of the cabin.

What do you think of the pistol grip shifter—is it a must-have for every manual Mopar? Let us know in the comments!
