First of all, thank you to all of the amazing attendees we met today that purchased our products, took our business cards or just stopped by to chat. We had a great time, made great sales, and connected with great people!

I am, however, disappointed by some people and wanted to remind everyone that if you went out on this beautiful day and spent time looking at cool cars, strolling on a baseball diamond chatting with vendors and watching kids play, grabbed a snack or a drink and left the event disappointed because it missed the mark on it's marketing or there were issues with parking and that was the worst part of your day, you are incredibly blessed.

If you then took to social media to complain about the event, you're wrong for doing that. I highly recommend you direct message the amazing team that put in soooo much time and effort to put on this event and say something like this:

"Thank you so much for creating this awesome event for the community. Thank you for inviting us to your beautiful stadium and having a place for businesses to display and sell the items they have worked so hard on. Can I recommend a couple of changes that might make your next event even better? I'd love to see the following....(insert constructive recommendations here). I can't wait to attend your next event and see how much it grows! If your team ever needs volunteers in the future, please let me know."

When you take to social media to make negative comments about events like this one with no intent to be a part of making it better, you run the risk of having the host decide they don't want to have another event and that only hurts businesses like ours.

Please, for our sake, think twice before being negative (especially online) about events like these. The DockHounds team did a phenomenal job during the peak of their baseball season on an event they had never hosted before. Please thank them. 👏
