Happy Monday!

Exciting times visiting my mom for lunch at Mohegan Sun. In 2001, I helped her land an HR position there while I was working part-time in food and beverage. Now, just a few years later, she’s preparing to retire as an Executive Assistant.

Today, I had the pleasure of joining her for lunch at the food court, bringing back so many great memories. We also stopped by the hotel, where they have a fantastic new display featuring a money tree.

Looking forward to creating more special moments with my mom and the kids. As we all know, days turn into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years—so embrace the experiences before it’s too late.

Anyone remember the Cove? Noodle Bar? Dan Dan Noodle? Please let me know if anyone knows a place that has Dan Dan Noodle (Chicken, noodle, cucumber, peanut sauce).

Happy Monday!

Happy 30 and a few to my wonderful wife Neringa! We had a fabulous time at Foxwoods. Shout out to my friend Daniel McHale and the Association of US Army for great prizes at the annual tournament.

Looking forward to an awesome year for the Coutu family and friends.

What a beautiful fall season we're having! One of the perks of living in Connecticut is the lack of constant political ads and signs since we are far from the battleground state we used to be. Hard to believe that just a few decades ago presidential candidates would visit often making this a hotspot for campaigns.

On another note it’s fascinating how political ads have shifted and now we’re seeing VP Harris on TV toting guns and beer to appeal to moderate voters. With two weeks left until the election some articles are even questioning if President Biden was the stronger candidate.

Are there any big election night parties happening across Connecticut? Regardless it’s a pivotal time as we prepare for a new President one way or another!

Terrible ending at the Uconn game. As you can clearly see there was a no call pass interference. The ref noted that there was a glare from Bob's head that blinded him.

Enjoyed a beautiful day on the Conmecticut river. Must admit a little bit different then my journey on Mango Tango. Living life to the fullest!

Living freely and loving every moment! This week has been full of milestones for the Coutu family.

I’m incredibly grateful for 20+ amazing years with my wife, Neringa, who inspires me every day to grow. We celebrated our friendship and two decades together with a mini getaway to Cape Cod. Our daughter Alexandria achieved all A’s after a B+ last year, which earned her a new kitten! We welcomed Baby, our one-year-old kitten, who now wakes up Gabriella and joins the turtles in keeping our home lively. We also added a sleek Black Lexus RX330 to the mix, a well-earned treat.

After 30 years of military service and an incredible two-year leadership tour, I’m ready for the next adventure and the chance to make an even greater impact. Exciting times ahead!
One more special note... It is such a wonderful day to see Connecticut Honor Flight Connecticut bringing Veterans to their memorials. I reflect on how blessed we were to have hundreds of Guardians and Volunteers support 1130 WWII Veterans during our 11 flights to Washington DC. I'm proud to have been one of the original seven that met in Washington DC in 2008 to make the greater vision a reality.

Kamala Harris Is First Democrat in Decades To Not Get Teamsters Endorsement 09/18/2024

Recent polling shows that over 60% of Teamsters support President Donald Trump, while 34% back Vice President Kamala Harris. In response, Teamsters leadership made the significant decision not to endorse a candidate in the upcoming election—something that hasn't happened in decades. This shift highlights a notable change in political alignment within the blue-collar, skilled labor workforce. While the Democratic party still holds strong appeal with certain voter groups, including younger generations like the Swifties, it’s clear that the 2024 election will be highly competitive, with evolving dynamics on both sides of the political spectrum.

Looking back on 2021, I drew inspiration from Little River Band's 'Cool Change', with its uplifting lyrics about embracing freedom and the open sea.

This motivation led me to pursue my dream of jet boating, only to face unexpected setbacks on my 46th birthday. However, two years later, I rebounded and created unforgettable memories with Adellia, Gabriella, Andrew, and friends, exploring hidden coves, spotting eagles, and discovering century-old treasures.

It was a summer of firsts, proving that sometimes life's detours lead to even greater adventures. Be resilient and live each day to it's fullest.

Our family's annual tradition at the Big E begins with parking near the gym and visiting the animal exhibits on Veterans Day, accompanied by our trusty Costco pull cart.

We then proceed to Rhode Island to enjoy white chowder, followed by fried dough and kettle corn. This year, we chose the $12 frozen mango lemonade over the $16 frozen lemonade. We always enjoy exploring the Better Living and Farm-A-Rama buildings, as well as the horse show. The Big Top Circus, featuring the exceptional Super Puerto Rico clown, was a highlight.

Although there were a few tense moments due to sibling teasing, we introduced a new rule for 2024: each person gets one special choice, which can be an item, food, or experience, supplemented by a few additional selections.

Might get a few more Mango Tango boating trips in on the Connecticut river. Message me if you want to go on a water adventure.
