People often think Hip Hop is just rap music but it’s a LOT deeper…A few weekends ago, I saw it living and breathing on every level through the elements.

Touching the stage for the Music Producer event was an honor and a true learning experience…
This was my second year, and being in the room, feeling the exchange, the respect, the craftsmanship, and the expertise was unparalleled. The entire panel of producers was handing out neckbrace after neckbrace… thx so much for allowing me to jump in and share my beats✨🙏🏿💪🏿💪🏿

And then the dance battle… my goodness… shout out to …I was floored by how technically nasty some of the dancers were. NYC has to come ready next year because CT and Boston were BEASTING. Shout out to my Howard fam who held it down too.

Peace to El Niño, Megatron, and other crew members… yall rep the
Foundation, legacy, and fire in human form. It was dope to see the diff generations rep under one banner.
Big love to . It was an honor meeting more of your Floor Lords family. Definitely miss you bro.

And to …
20 years of curation, holding space, and building something that lasts, rooted in Peace, Love, Unity, and Having Fun. That’s vision, intention, honor, discipline, and love for the culture. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it again this year.

Hartford, you different. If ONLY NYC knew what time it was up there. The spirit of Hip Hop out there is potent. I felt it in the floors, the speakers, the conversations, the mics, the walls, the wheels of steel, the paint, and even the silence between moments.

Trinity’s 20th anniversary was a powerful reminder that…
Hip Hop is still healing people.
Still building bridges.
Still calling us back to ourselves.

Gratitude to everyone who shared space and energy.
More reflections coming soon.

Love and light yall ❤️✊🏿💚

Peace to and all of the Trinity volunteers, all of the Hip Hop practitioners and participants, the spectators, supporters and all in attendance. The event at Parkville was lit! 👀🔥🔥🔥🔥

People say “J Dilla saved my life.”
During the 20th Anniversary of Trinity Hip Hop… J Dilla saved my family.

Sharing space with Ma Dukes and a room full of amazing, talented, pure hearted artists… something shifted.

In one of my most vulnerable moments, I found myself surrounded by love. CT, Toronto, France, Zimbabwe, NYC… all in one room.

I met nieces I had never met before😲🤯 !! Bright. Powerful. Unforgettable.

Thank you Ili.
Thank you Ilanis for trusting that feeling and walking into that piano room just to see what was there. Little did we know… we were stepping into a Bigger Than Hip Hop moment.

Sydaili, I am so proud of you. The resonance I feel when I speak with you is truly next level. You are destined for great things. Meeting you and your sister was nothing short of magic.

Friends, take a close look at the photos. You will feel what happened in that studio.

On the first night, I told the community I came to share, but more importantly to learn and to heal. After losing four of my Monsta Island brothers, I needed this.
What I did not expect was to reconnect with my own bloodline in the process. No coincidence. The ancestors were working.

My cup is overflowing.🌊🌊

Grateful to the Creator. Grateful to the ancestors.❤️

Grateful to Ma Dukes, Tony, Dilla, and everyone in that room that held the space for such a sacred moment.❤️🙏🏿

This past Sunday felt like a movie. What a gift.

Posting more photos soon.
Love and light yall.

Just got the flyer for the Music Producer showcase up at Trinity College for the 20th Annual Trinity International Hip-Hop Festival. I'm floored that I have a chance to not only play music alongside a monster line up of producers (special thanks to G-Whiz for putting me on), but I also get to play my music for J Dilla's mom, Ma Dukes who is the special guest. Truly a dream come true for me.

Friends, peep the flyer and visit the link below for the April 9th, 10th, and 11th schedule
