H-Rock NAACP May 2026 Newsletter — So Much Happened 05/29/2026

It’s NEWSLETTER TIME!!! May has been full of changes and events that we were attentive to and standing up for what’s right.

Check out highlights from the health fair, the Silent Rally shedding light on racial profiling, and a message from our Branch President 💙✨

H-Rock NAACP May 2026 Newsletter — So Much Happened May has come and gone with a lot to process from the Supreme Court ruling regarding the Special Election results to a racial profiling that happened in our own backyard. Our branch is on the frontline, keeping people informed but also standing up for what’s right.

05/23/2026

If this election taught us anything, it’s that our voices are still being challenged when they become too powerful to ignore. The overturning of the Virginia Special Election results wasn’t just political news — it was another reminder that Black and Brown communities cannot afford to sit on the sidelines.

Now more than ever, we need people in every city, every county, and every neighborhood to organize, mobilize, and protect the progress generations fought for. Joining your local NAACP branch isn’t just about membership — it’s about making sure our communities have advocates in every room where decisions are being made.

Power doesn’t disappear when we unite. It grows.

Find your branch. Show up. Speak out. Stay engaged. ✊🏾

Juneteenth weekend is underway and there’s no better way to celebrate freedom, culture, community, and joy than together. ❤️🖤💚

Our tradition of celebrating Juneteenth on the day of is staying alive as it honors the day freedom finally reached enslaved Black Americans in Texas in 1865 and reminds us that this holiday carries real history, real resilience, and real joy.

This year marks FIVE YEARS of Juneteenth being a federal holiday and still growing stronger every year. ✨

Pull up to the cookout for good food, great music, games, dancing, and fellowship as we reflect on the history, resilience, and excellence that Juneteenth represents 🔥
