The Harrisonburg Fire Department has confirmed there was no gas leak at the facility. The issue was caused by exhaust from nearby construction equipment entering the building’s HVAC system, which created an unsafe environment.
The center was closed for the rest of the day as a precaution. We’re pleased to share that normal operations will resume tomorrow (Friday, 6/12).
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

💙🧠 Stroke Awareness Starts With You 🧠💙
Neurologist Dr. Fouzia Siddiqui and Emergency Department Supervisor Jonathan Barni spoke with WHSV about how important it is to recognize the signs of a stroke and act quickly. Stroke can happen suddenly—and when it does, every second truly counts.
One of the biggest takeaways: knowing the warning signs and calling 911 right away can save a life and improve recovery. Early action can make all the difference when it comes to treatment and long-term outcomes.
⚠️ Stroke doesn’t just affect one group—it can happen to anyone, at any age. That’s why awareness, education, and sharing this information with others is so important.
👉 Take a moment this month to learn the signs, understand your risk, and talk with your loved ones. The more people who know what to look for, the more lives we can help protect.
