As the final notes of this year's Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival fade, we're grateful for the opportunity to support an organization that enriches our community through the power of music.
As a season sponsor, VMRC is honored to help make these experiences possible while immersing residents in the artistry, inspiration, and connection that make the Bach Festival so special. Whether through performances on campus, conversations with musicians, or concerts throughout festival week, this partnership brings the joy of live music into our community all year long.
Thank you to the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival for another inspiring season. We look forward to continuing to celebrate music, creativity, and community together.
What starts as a bike ride often becomes so much more.
Through Cycling Without Age, residents have the chance to experience the joy of being outdoors while sharing the memories, relationships, and places that have shaped their lives. In this video, you'll hear how a simple ride can bring stories to the surface and create experiences that stay with residents and pilots long after the journey ends.
Read the full story on our blog and discover why Cycling Without Age has become such a meaningful part of life at VMRC.

For many Confident Caregiver Conference attendees, lunch is where the magic happens.✨️ It's where caregivers connect, share their stories, offer encouragement, and remind one another we are not alone on this journey.
This year, we'll provide table discussion prompts to help spark meaningful conversations and deepen those connections even further.
Please join us in thanking VMRC for sponsoring lunch at this year's conference and helping to build bonds that can last long after our day together is over. If you know family caregivers who could use some support, please extend this invitation to them: https://vpas.info/confident-caregivers-conferences

We're grateful to Nielsen Builders, Inc. for their service on our farm during last week's United Way of Central Shenandoah Valley
Year after year, local businesses show up for our Golf Benefit because they believe in what we're building together. From supporting Memory Care to strengthening the community we all share, their partnership means everything. This year, we're inviting even more neighbors to join us on the green!

Coffee, conversation, and the music of Johannes Brahms made for a memorable morning at VMRC last Friday!
Residents gathered to enjoy brunch favorites, live performances by talented VMRC staff and friends, and the fellowship that is at the heart of community life. Events like these are a beautiful reminder that some of life's best moments are shared together.

Every person who walks through our doors carries a lifetime of stories, love, and experience worth celebrating. This Pride Month, we're reminded that belonging has no age limit and that our community grows stronger when everyone truly feels seen and welcomed.
Recently, we welcomed Ray Franks, the son of two VMRC residents and the organizer of Trans America Ride, and Dr. Bethany Bryson from JMU's Safe Zone program.
We're excited to be partnering with JMU's Safe Zone program as we explore how to better show up for our LGBTQ+ employees, residents, families, and neighbors. This is one more way we're committed to creating a home and work environment where everyone thrives.

We believe food is one of the most personal ways to honor where someone comes from. Our Culture and Belonging group gives our dining team the inspiration to spotlight the diverse ethnicities across our campus through weekly specials every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It is one more way we build connection around the table!

History, conversation, and exploration made for a memorable day in Lexington, Virginia.
Residents spent the day enjoying a horse-drawn tour of historic sites. Along the way, Lexington’s history came to life through stories of the town and its people.
As one resident shared, “I learned new things I never knew before.”
Afterward, residents shared lunch at a local restaurant, enjoyed conversation together, and then explored the town at their own pace, browsing local shops, stopping for ice cream, and taking in the sights.
From the local history to the warm hospitality, the day offered a meaningful glimpse into the character and charm of Lexington. One resident said, “I could spend many days in this little town.”
