Happy Heavenly 100th Birthday, Esther.

Today would have been my Grandma Esther’s 100th birthday.

When I think about Esther’s Porch, I think about gathering around a table, sharing stories, playing games, and laughing until our bellies hurt.

Today I’m sharing a few photos of the woman who inspired it all. From her younger days, to the neighborhood where life unfolded, to the grandmother I was blessed to know and love.

A century after her birth, her legacy is still growing in ways she probably never imagined.

Happy Heavenly 100th Birthday, Grandma Esther. Thank you for setting the stage. Thank you for showing us what home feels like. And thank you for inspiring a dream that continues to bring people together.

The community spoke… and I listened.

The truth is… Esther’s Porch was never meant to be just one thing.

It was never only about preschool.
It was about creating meaningful, hands-on, creative experiences where children, teens, and families feel connected, inspired, safe, and welcome.

When I first started Esther’s Porch, I dreamed of bringing a different approach to learning into our community — one built around creativity, play, connection, imagination, and belonging.

But I also realized something important…

Families need connection and trust before they feel comfortable doing something different.

And honestly? I understand that.

So instead of forcing one vision, Esther’s Porch evolved into something even bigger.

A creative studio.
A community space.
A place where families can walk through the doors and EXPERIENCE the magic, creativity, nostalgia, art, imagination, and connection that was always inside my heart for Esther’s Porch.

Many of the things you’ll experience in the studio were originally created for the preschool vision… and now the entire community gets to be part of it. ✨
