Founded in 1959 by Jay Maisel in the basement of his home, the company is now owned and managed by his sons, Mark and Steven. Corporate headquarters are in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with warehousing and distribution centers in both Harrisburg and San Diego. Additional sales offices are located in New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C. In addition, Commonwealth ships worldwide from Europe, Qingdao China, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
