Calling all soccer fans! Join SCC and HART at Mr. G's Sports Bar this Friday for the World Cup match between the USA and Australia. All proceeds benefit our organizations.

Winston has moved into Benny's PET DEPOT, where he’ll show off his beautiful medium-length coat until he is adopted. You may recognize this black-and-white boy from a post a few weeks ago. Winston was found along the Carlisle Pike and needed emergency surgery. (Thank you to all who made donations in support of his care.) Now Winston is looking for a home where he can eat special wet food (He loves wet food!) to prevent future issues.

Our need for kitten food is never-ending, and our supply dwindling. 😿 Are you able to donate to help HART kittens? Our top need is Fancy Feast Pate kitten paté (wet food), but we can use any brand of kitten wet food. Many of our fosters use Purina Kitten Chow for dry food, but other brands are welcome, too. We also need 7- or 8-inch paper plates on which to serve this food. THANK YOU for your generosity and for helping us save lives.

Belated congratulations to Tessa on her adoption. She’s the last of her three-kitten litter to find her home. We wish all their families the best forevers. ❤️❤️❤️

Tessa was the shyest of her trio, and she’d like to remind potential adopters of the 3-3-3 rule for new pets. In short, it takes AT LEAST 3️⃣ days to decompress, 3️⃣ weeks to settle in and 3️⃣ months to feel fully at home. Of course, not every cat adheres strictly to this framework. Some seem to blow through all the steps in four days. More likely, some may take a little more time. The key is moving slowly and providing patience and love.
