This years theme was Happy Valentine's Day....everyone was asked to wear red.

This year's theme party was a Laua. Lots of volunteers helped with the preparations, cutting fruit and vegetables, making palms trees and figures, kabos, and cooking.

50 Years later:
John Fitzgerald Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963), commonly known as "Jack" or by his initials JFK, was the 35th President of the United States, serving from January 1961 until he was assassinated in November 1963. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Lee Harvey Oswald was accused of the crime and arrested that evening, but Jack Ruby shot and killed him two days later, before a trial could take place.
Few tragedies loom as large in the American psyche as the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
And now, with the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination finally upon us,
Thomas Putnam, executive director of the JFK library told the AP….
"It's 50 years later and it's also a moment to look forward to the future, We want our tone to be respectful and we want it to have a certain reverence, but we also want it to be hopeful and end on this notion of what JFK stood for."

It has been a busy two weeks..we have now 77 units occupied in the park with another 24 units due in the next 30 days. The Rec Hall is starting to buzz, and the games have begun. See you all soon.
