Meet Sedna. She’s the spirit of the sea and the face of our mission. Bold, defiant, and born of the ocean’s grief, Sedna isn’t a sculpture. She’s not a logo or a mascot either. She’s a symbol, one we’ll proudly feature on t-shirts, mugs, and more in the weeks ahead. At Washed Up Texas, we know life is full, taking care of your family, managing a household, showing up for others. But even with all that, you still want to make a difference. You care about the plastic crisis and what’s happening to our oceans. That’s why this merch matters. It gives you a way to stand for something with what you wear, to help fund our work, and to share this story with others. This is Josie. An Atlantic green sea turtle — and the very first sea turtle sculpture we ever made. She’s built from things we picked up with our own hands — bottle caps, flip flops, and plastic scraps that washed up on our Texas beaches. Where you see trash, we saw a story. This is Costa, the mermaid. She was shaped by the sea itself. Made from what the tide brought in: bottle caps, toy fragments, fishing rope, and sun faded plastics. All of it once drifting. Now, anchored in purpose. At Washed Up Texas, we collect what washes ashore and turn it into something unforgettable. Each piece is gathered by hand, cleaned, sorted, and transformed screw by screw into living breathing sculptures that carry a message. “18 billion pounds of plastic enter the ocean every year.
