Music has transformative energy power and we enter the third day of Black Music Month let’s assess. What you listen to can take you from 0 to 100 but let’s also talk about what you create. Why do artists get older and grey but feel like they must remain in the same box as their 19 year-old self? Why is avoidance keeping us stagnant and redundant as a culture? Why did I write and am in the process of releasing THC, The Healing Conversation? Because reaching your highest self all begins with the person in the mirror. I urge everyone to take a deep soul dive into their true being without avoiding the darkness. There’s so much light and beauty there waiting to be birthed but kept concealed due to avoidance, pride and fear of discomfort. The meal prep won’t be completed unless we peel back the layers of the onion first..but peeling back those onion layers may cause tears..tears from buried traumas. After the release is the peace.. Don’t be afraid to free yourself!
