The movement of a beautiful head of hair is art in motion.

This beauty has a color maintenance of a Keratint glaze about every 8 to 12 months. We foil on a good pit of highlights about every 6 months when she needs that extra pop of brightening.

Her natural white/medium slate hair makes for a beautiful grow out with a low maintenance color.

Today was just a reshaping of her cut after a ClarpHx treatment and a punch of the violet shampoo to cool the shade just a bit.

You are looking at the final results of a 5 hour color correction.

This beauty is no stranger to shifting shades or color styles. The last color adventure was a win, beautiful to***co tone, she loved the look. As for the fade out and the inevitable inbetween color that happens, was a no go. Understandably considering the fade out was a muted copper tone and translated a bit too hot/loud for a color melt girlie. Colors are a commitment and in some cases a revolving door that requires a bit more maintenance and acceptance of the inbetween phase.
Once she realized that inbetween was not something she was able to live with, it was time to hunker down back into those cooler shades.

The hair said heck no!

Strand broke at a weak spot after 10 minutes in lightner.
This is why a test strand is so very important. Your hair deserves the time and care taken to ensure its health always.

Her hair goal was realistic for having previously colored hair. Just a light brown balayage mixed with her natural dark and colored dark hair.

Test strand day, and in 10 minutes the hair lifted quick. With minimal tension wiping down the lightner, the hair dropped off at its weakest spot. Analyzing the hair that dropped off, the entire strand has inconsistent weak spots that stretch and other spots that just break.

This tells me no lightener can be used from her midsection of hair down. Witnessing how the hair reacted, I'm reluctant to apply anything that has any lifting at all, including permanent color. We decided to pause on following through with doing any color. At a later date when she decides to get back into coloring her hair, CPR will be a must. Considering this result, I will be doing a test strand with the CPR aswell. This type of reaction is so very unpredictable, we can not take any chances. Unless she wants to live that bob life and I dont think thats her goal 🙃

This beautiful girl was ready to try on a new look! Blue it is!

Had a visit from a South Carolina crew. Her cool bestie came in for a trim before we started the color jouney.

We were having so much fun. I didn't get any before or during pics. Her smile once it was all done was the seal of approval, not to mention the many selfie taken after we were done. 😎

There is no plan to maintain this color. School is out, and summer time shenanigans are beginning. This means, hot sunny days, lake floating, pool swimming. This girlie is just fine with the inevitable fade out to come. But now she has a large blocked placement of hair she can play with for new colors in the future!
